Ek-sistenz: Clay sculptures & photographs

A sculptor and a photographer in a special collaboration

Ek-sistenz is a term from the Heideggerian thought sphere. In contrast to the conventional word existence there seems to be something new, what has not been thought before, in this strange notation. Ek-sistere, standing into being, leaning outward into that in which being has always discovered itself to be.

A difficult language in this kind of philosophy, therefore the photographs of this collaboration try to express the relationship of form and time. At best to understand more extensively what could be meant with standing into being.

The clay sculptures of the sculptor Christa Lehr, my mother, show forty years of inner evolution in diverse tonal transformations. The photographs 2022 will be chromatic and black/white attempts to show two-dimensionally these three-dimensional transformations in their 'standing into being'.
